Our analysis identified strong evidence of manipulation in a viral Deepfake falsely portraying a potential former assistant to the Arizona Secretary of State, Adrian Fontes, making severe accusations of election fraud. The deepfake claims to expose a systematic plan to alter voter rolls in Republican-leaning counties, manufacture fraudulent ballots in favor of Kamala Harris, and manipulate the upcoming election outcome.

Given the sensitive timing of this video during an election period, and its inflammatory content, this deepfake has a high risk of widespread dissemination and influence. If unaddressed, this content could significantly undermine public trust, incite public unrest, and lead to potential disruptions at polling stations as urged by the video.

This video, produced by “A Foundation to Battle Injustice,” has been identified as part of a larger Russian disinformation campaign aimed at influencing U.S. elections. As Americans head to the polls, this and similar misinformation narratives are emerging.
