Our system detected strong evidence of manipulation in this Deepfake video of Former President Obama golfing. Although the content has a low likelihood of going viral, given that it doesn’t depict anything controversial and Obama is no longer in office, it’s a notable example of the quality and photorealism that Deepfake technology can now achieve. This case highlights why disinformation security tools are essential as Deepfakes grow more sophisticated. Ensuring robust detection capabilities is crucial to address even seemingly harmless examples and maintain the integrity of digital media.
